My Story

The Beginning: Discovering My Path

After years have passed and acquiring my license as a Holistic Reiki Therapist, my belief in my purpose has only grown stronger. It is my mission to educate soon-to-be parents about the significance of secure attachment and its positive effects. Secure attachment brings numerous advantages, including improving your baby’s sleep patterns, which greatly impacts parenting. Were you aware of the strong link between secure attachment and sleep?

I am Melanie, half Portuguese and half Dutch. Together with my husband, I have three children: Oliver, Felipa, and Alixe, and our dog Bella. At the birth of our son Oliver, it was very clear that I wanted to be in my own bubble. Where I used to find the opinions of others so important, my intuition now turned out to be the most important. That trust gave me so much power and strength. And here it became very clear that this was his message to me; ‘go shine your light’.

My mission is to plant seeds with the information I provide. To inform, inspire and help parents understand what choices can be made during pregnancy, childbirth and in the initial phase with your baby. By passing on the knowledge in the courses, it becomes clearer why you should or shouldn’t do certain things to give your child the best possible start. With the idea that knowledge is a choice, and that acquiring more knowledge can help us be prepared and prevent problems.

"The course from pregnancy to parenthood is a good preparation for impending parenthood. Besides a nice (partner) meditation, there was explanation and a lot of practical tips/handholds given for the first phase after birth.
